Data Collection and Analysis
Data collection and analysis is the crucial part for the beginning of Uni2Go business. Universities stock a lot of information on their websites and
sometimes it is really challenging to find what you are looking for. The
challenge that lies ahead for Uni2Go is to consolidate all the data that
universities provide and stack it in just the right way for students. In
addition, some universities are not eager to update their information on their
websites or they do it only once a year. So novelty and relevance of data is
also part of the challenge for Uni2Go.
Platform Management
When all data is gathered and aggregated daily, platform management becomes a vital part of the business
activities. With huge amounts of data we need to constantly manage and maintain
our website. Also, with increasing number of users Uni2Go platform will receive
more and more posts, which require supervision or even editing. This will increase
the workload even more. Therefore we decided to hire an IT specialist to help
with daily maintenance works.
Marketing
As we target two different customers we have to differ our marketing strategies accordingly.
1. Marketing Activities for Students
Once the website is up and running we need to attract more and more attention to our platform. The most relevant marketing activities to attract more students to our online platform are digital. Very heavy Google Ad campaigns will help us increase the online presence and direct a large number of visitors to our platform, thus increasing traffic to the website. Furthermore, social media marketing is key in the marketing strategy for UNI2GO as it will not only increase customer engagement, but also monitor market developments and analyze trends. UNI2GO has already established a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram and will strengthen its presence further by providing valuable posts that match students’ interests and needs. By receiving huge interests from students, we hope to let them actively engage in our community and spread the word with our idea.
However, we will not only rely on the online world. To communicate with the students directly on-campus activities are of utter importance. In this way, we can talk to them face-to-face, listen and gain valuable feedback. In order to make this happen, we intend to participate in Introduction, Welcome Days or Career Day Events of the universities. By having our own stand we can communicate our unique value proposition and hand out flyers that will promote UNI2GO. Furthermore, our partnerships with universities and student associations will help us increase our publicity and exposure, who already have a good customer basis of students.
2. Marketing Activities for Businesses
In order to reach businesses, who want to advertise on our platform we intend to use a direct approach. This means that we will research on small- to medium-sized businesses, which target students and do not have enough marketing budget to advertise their service. Moreover, we will also look further into large enterprises that offer nationwide services, too. We will contact them directly by phone or personally and propose our advertising possibilities. In a second step, these contacts will be further fostered by newsletters and emails, which inform about our business progress, trends, presenting our products and partnering options. With the help of digital campaigns we can further attract B2B-customers to our platform, which is why the UNI2GO-platform will help us recruit businesses as well.
